Although I cannot mention my host's name or give the exact address of the luxury Airbnb where I stayed during my visit to Tokyo, I am very tempted to share with my readers my first Airbnb experience along with some of my pictures. Flying directly from India, I arrived at the Airbnb home late in the evening where my host, a pleasant looking Japanese lady, was waiting for me. She spoke English fluently and welcoming me to her home, helped me settle comfortably in my room. It was a beautiful and luxurious home located in one of the most elegant and posh neighborhoods of Shibuya in Tokyo. My room was exactly as shown in the pictures on the Airbnb website. It had a comfortable queen bed with high quality linen, a desk and a spacious wardrobe that could fit all my luggage.

The glass doors of the room opened up to my own private pool which was fitted with a state of the art swim jet system! An en-suite bathroom boasted all kinds of latest Japanese gizmos that I had never seen before! The pool area also had separate showers for me to use! There was also a small laundry room cum kitchenette with Miele washing machine and dryer, a small refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Before going to bed that evening, I enjoyed a late night swim in my own private pool!

The next morning my host had organized a western style breakfast for me that included a variety of fresh exotic fruits, yoghurt, fruit juice, special New Zealand honey and home baked bread with cheese and butter! My host also gave me a small wifi router that I could carry with me and use during the day as I explored Tokyo.

On the last day of my stay, my host cooked me a Japanese breakfast that included matcha tea, rice and miso soup. Later that afternoon, she helped me book a cab for the railway station and also brought my luggage to the door. I had an amazing first Airbnb stay and look forward to exploring more Airbnb homes around the world in the future!
