The night I arrived at the Lyngen Lodge, I was still running a slight fever and despite my not keeping so well, I could not resist the urge of getting out of bed early in the morning to take pictures of the magnificent Lyngen Alps. I have found out through my own experience that when I don't concentrate on the feeling of not feeling well, that feeling of being sick eventually goes away! And so it happened that morning when I stepped out of the lodge in freezing temperatures and knee-deep snow, with my camera and tripod, I could not feel the fever, only a soul-stirring, blissful joy of witnessing such grandeur and beauty around me. Actually, I did recover completely and magically that morning itself and was able to participate in a thrilling Arctic adventure - the snow-mobile safari to high-frozen lakes in the Arctic. Also, the same evening I went down to the beach, slipping and sliding in the snow for the most heavenly views of the Norwegian fjords.
