While there is a long list of hotels in Baden Baden to choose from, it is important to book the right hotel depending on what your needs are. I am traveling solo most of the time and it is important for me to stay at a hotel in the city-center close to shopping, eating places and sightseeing attractions. This not only saves me travel time, but also I can easily hop over to a restaurant if I don't feel like eating at the hotel. Also, as a photographer it gives me great flexibility to have control over my schedule as I am well connected to all the major attractions in the city. And the hustle-bustle of the city keeps me inspired!
My first choice of hotel in Baden Baden was the Steigenberger hotel. I had stayed with them in Bad Pyrmont and had really enjoyed their hospitality and service. However, the hotel was closed for renovation when I was visiting. After doing some research, I booked the 4 star Leonardo Royal hotel, a 5-7 minutes walk to the Lichtentaler Allee. The room price was €400 including breakfast for three nights.
Even though it was a comfortable hotel and more economical than the others, next time I would really like to stay at a hotel right on the Oos river like the Atlantic Park Hotel, also much closer to the center of town. It also has an outdoor cafe with great views of the river and park.
The best and also the most expensive hotel is the Brenners Park-Hotel and Spa. The room rates are anything between €275-€1,000 per night and the hotel has a private park for its guests along the Oos river.
