I visited Park Hyatt, Goa a couple of weeks before Christmas and it was the perfect dream stay! The weather was warm, the sun was shining and I was able at last, to get out of all my winter gear and do all my favorite things in life--swim, walk, meditate, watch movies, take massages or just lounge in my room! If you ever plan to go there and are looking for a nice hotel, trust me, you will simply love the Park Hyatt, and here are a few reasons why:
1. Architectural beauty
Covering 45 acres of carefully manicured gardens plush with palm trees, lagoons and waterfalls, this charming hotel is designed in the form of an Indo-Portugese village, ideal for both a quiet introspective holiday and bonding with your family. The rooms are located in beautifully appointed cottages intermediated with waterways and streams and surrounded with palm trees. Some rooms also have a view of the beach.
2. Room with a view
Rooms are comfortable with soothing pool views to scenic views of the Arabian Sea; the picturesque lagoon view and rooms with a lush gardenahead. My own room overlooked a stream and I had my own private spa-inspired sunken bath in the room.

There are a variety of cuisines to choose from - Goan, Indian or Italian - at the Village Square in the hotel that offers a selection of elegant restaurants.

I especially enjoyed dining at Palms, their beach-side restaurant from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the setting sun on the Arabian Sea.
4. Sports & Sun bathing
From swimming to cycling on the beach, paragliding and boating, gymming or just taking a walk in the spacious hotel grounds, there is something for everyone to do. The hotel also has a private beach and many exclusive areas around the pool where you can just relax and enjoy some sun-bathing.

5. Child friendly hotel
I was visiting the hotel with my brother's family and they have two little children. My sister-in-law told me that I must mention in my post on the hotel how child-friendly the hotel is - there are two separate kiddies pools, a separate kids menu and a very nice play-area called Camp Hyatt for our young friends.
The Sereno Spa at the hotel offers Ayurvedic and yogic healing treatments. Massages start at only $10!
7. Restaurants in the neighborhood
There are also a number of restaurants in the neighborhood where you can enjoy authentic Goan cuisine. Zeebop is one such restaurant where I enjoyed a lunch of prawn curry and rice. Another nice place to eat is Fish'ka for seafood.
8. Private Events
One can also host private events at the hotel like this marriage ceremony that was going on when I was staying at the hotel. Indian marriages are known to be quite out of the ordinary, and this was a great opportunity for foreigners staying at the hotel, to get a glimpse on the most celebrated event in India!
