I recently had a chance to stay at the Ramada Gurgaon Central hotel (a Wyndham hotel), an international business hotel, located in the heart of Gurgaon's (Gurugram) business district (Delhi NCR, India). The hotel is centrally located at Sector 44 in Gurgaon, which is at close proximity to principal corporate offices and prominent places of interest in the city. It is about 16.8 km (10 miles) from the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3, and it takes about 20-25 minutes to reach the hotel from the airport (half an hour in rush hour). It is a four-star property with a gym and a pool and an average room rate of $100 (Rs. 7,000) per night.
I was visiting Gurgaon to speak at the BNI (Business Network International) meeting to be held at the hotel itself. BNI is the world’s biggest networking platform for businesses and entrepreneurs, the Gurgaon chapter being the tenth biggest in the world.
From the moment I stepped into the elegantly designed lobby of the hotel, I experienced Indian hospitality at its best! After a warm welcome from the General Manager, the Front Office Manager walked me to my room. He also agreed to give me a short tour of the hotel later the same evening. I had been upgraded to an Executive Club Room located on the higher floor of the hotel featuring free Wi-Fi, complimentary use of swimming pool/gym and an in-room bathtub.
Dinner at the hotel was a grand affair. The chef cooked me some delectable cuisines ending with a delicious chocolate brownie, probably one of the best brownies I have ever had in my life!
I can say without prejudice that for the room rate offered, the hotel offers one of the best services in terms of stay, dining and organizing events. I am happy to recommend the Ramada Gurgaon Central to anybody who wants to have a comfortable and economical stay in the center of Gurgaon (now Gurugram).
