Coworth Park Hotel and Spa is a luxury resort that boasts an eco-spa, a heated pool with underwater music, polo grounds, horse stables, flower fields and lakes. I have already reviewed the hotel on another post - Coworth Park Hotel & Spa, review. On this post I want to cover the various activities that one can do while staying at the spa. I enjoyed a bit of everything while I was there - fine-dining, high-tea, walking the grounds, horse stables, spa area as well as a ride in the buggy. Here is a list of the things you can do there.
The hotel is spread across 240 acres of Berkshire parkland with huge gardens covered with trees, lakes and flower fields. I enjoyed walking the grounds, sitting by the lake and picking flowers at the flower fields. The hotel also has huge polo grounds.
2. Horse Stables
The hotel has beautiful horse stables and offers riding lessons to the guests. Even though I did not get a chance to ride the horses as my stay at the hotel was rather unplanned and I did not know one could book riding lessons, it was a treat to walk through the stables and say hello to the adorable fellas!
The hotel has a gorgeous spa area with a heated pool that plays underwater music. I really immersed myself in all the luxury the spa had to offer. I had been extremely exhausted and run-over from several days of work and traveling before I arrived at the hotel, and wanted to make the most of my stay. Starting with a relaxing swim and watching the sun go down from the glass window as I swam a few laps, I got a heavenly massage done and then spent the rest of the evening drinking tea and meditating in the spa lounge. The lounge with floor to ceiling glass windows, overlooked the stunning English countryside. On one side of this cozy lounge, was a tea and cookies counter and on the other side, books and blankets.
4. High Tea
The hotel offers an extensive menu of teas including some which are very rare. If you get lucky, you might even run into a George Clooney or a Russell Crowe, as Hollywood celebrities have often been spotted enjoying afternoon tea here. However, I did not spot anyone, not even Bradley Cooper, but I did enjoy the royal drawing and dining rooms and the magnificent views of the English countryside while drinking some fine Earl Grey tea.
Read my post on What to Wear for High Tea at Coworth Park.
5. Buggy Ride
The hotel offers rooms in the main hotel building called the Mansion House or there are the converted stable rooms which are more secluded. Since, I was staying in one of the stable rooms, I would often ask for the hotel buggy to drive me to the main building or the spa. However, even if you are staying in the main building, I strongly recommend a tour of the grounds in the hotel buggy. The hotel's staff is very obliging and will do their best to make the guests feel as comfortable as possible.
Besides all of the above, I enjoyed the comfort of the Stable Deluxe Room, the à la carte and in-room dining.
This is not a sponsored post. I paid 350 GBP for the night and drove there from London in an Uber cab that cost about 45 GBP from Harrow on the Hill.
