Nonbei Yokocho also known as 'Drunkard's Alley' are two parallel alleys in Shibuya, Tokyo, filled with rows of tiny bars. Some of the bars are so small that they can fit only 4 or 5 people. It is only a stone throw's away from the famous Shibuya Crossing. In the evening the street is lit up with lanterns and reminds you of a mid 20th century Tokyo. Since I don't drink, my friend and I did not stop at any bars but enjoyed a walk through the streets in the late evening hours. It is worth a visit in Tokyo and if you like your late evening drinks, you will enjoy visiting the bars here set in traditional Japanese style.
