After taking pictures and hanging out at the Bombo Quarry, Lake Illawara and the Wollongong Harbour Old Lighthouse, we made our final stop for the day at the Towradgi Ocean/Rock Pool. I was with a Wollongong based landscape photographer Brad Chilby (http://chilby.com.au) and another friend from Sydney with whom I was doing a road trip of New South Wales, Australia. We made several stops on our road trip connecting with local photographers and shooting fashion for a Danish clothing company called Cream Clothing (https://www.cream-clothing.com).
The rock pool is about a 10 minute drive from the Wollongong Harbour and even though it was getting dark and we didn't want to swim, I didn't want to leave Wollongong without seeing it!
The Towradgi Rock Pool is 50 mts long with stunning views of the Corrimal Beach, Wollongong Beach and the lighthouse and harbour in the distance. The pool is located at the end of Towradgi Road, that runs directly east from the Princes Highway (between Fairy Meadow and Corrimal). You can park at the Bowling Club car park. There are two fresh water showers about 50m from the pool. Changing rooms with showers are also available and open from dawn to dusk.
